The Group operates in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, China and United Kingdom. The Tape & Reel service spans from offering taping services for standard and odd-shape semiconductor chips as well as fine pitch chips onto embossed carrier tapes.
To meet the different needs of our customers, we have implemented two approaches of partnership for our customers to choose from. Customers can have the option to engage our services onsite or offsite. For greater convenience, we provide an optional service to ship the inspected and re-packaged components to the end user directly.
Telford Industries Pte Ltd ("Telford") was first incorporated in 1990 while Reel Service Limited ("Reel Service") set up its first facility in Scotland in 1986. In 2000, ASTI acquired 60% stake in Reel Service and consolidated the Telford & Reel Service Group in a strategic partnership. In 2003, ASTI bought over the remaining stake in Reel Service and the Group has never looked back since. This partnership extended the offering of Semiconductor Manufacturing Services to other parts of the world covering Asia, Europe and the United States, to provide a global network of facilities. Our Group also grew to become the world's largest Tape & Reel Service provider.
Our Group has a staff strength of 1,000 staff. We are focused to provide round-the-clock efficient and quality service. This 24x7 work shift provides our customers with room for more flexibility and fantastic turnaround time. All our facilities are ISO9001:2000 certified to ensure the most stringent quality.
The winning advantage of the Group is the strong engineering support for its equipment. As the Group uses mainly equipment developed within the ASTI Group, it receives top priority in any troubleshooting.
Our Group is able to support almost all types of surface mount devices with a capacity of 18million units/day for Tape & Reel, 500k units/day for Programming and 200 km/day for Tape-making.
Advanced Integrated Materials ("AIM") was established to provide a separate identity to the division of Reel Service that designs and manufactures its own line of carrier tapes.
